We leave nothing behind but stories.
Our bodies will rot and so will our clothes. Paper will burn, ink will fade, clay will shatter and become grains of sand once more. Metal will rust and even mountains will crumble someday, after enough storms. Green things will grow over the land and reclaim it. Water will wash everything away and carry even souls to the other realm. We leave nothing behind but stories.
And this story, retold in as many voices as there were Bards and more, and yet still remembered in its truth, The Story of the Two Kings was passed down as a gift, because even Kings leave nothing behind but stories.
